I've never gotten a sound here. I just tried it in IE and FireFox, and looked at the page source - nuttin.
Are you sure it's this site, or sites that are linked from here? Maybe some of Roger's sites play sounds, for example.
Another, unlikely possibility is that you've got some spyware on your machine. Check it with AdAware from lavasoftusa.com, and/or SpyBot Search and Destroy.
