My posting to the RYPN board (link below) has a link to the initial news story with pictures. It also includes a picture of what the locomotive looked like, and other details.
It is wonderfull find not just because it is a Baldwin, and because it is the second oldest locomotive in China. It is also an unrebuilt Vauclain compound engine; only five such examples remain; and four of them are the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway cog engines scattered across Colorado.
Don't count on this locomotive leaving China. The Shenyang Railway Museum in Shenyang and the local bureau where it was found are fighting over who will keep this engine. Either way, it will be staying in China.
