It will be interesting to see if the Baker heater system holds water. It might be the coziest car on the rr, if we can find a reasonable source of coal.
The car still has the lamp vents in the roof, but at some point in its life the oil lamps were replace be electric fixtures of a type I've seen in other 20's 30's pass. cars. What would the likely source of power have been. I don't see any evidence of a battery box and regulator for a truck mounted generator. Could it have been connected to d small internal combustion engine powered gen. in a baggage car? Did rr's ever pipe steam back to say a baggage car and use a headlight dynamo to power lights in the cars?
