The car is the last B-3 of the Rio Grande. This was the provision and kitchen car for the three car business car train made up of B-1, B-2 and B-3. The history of the cars of the train are really involved because of a wreck of three business cars which destroyed two cars in 1917 and the subsequent rebuilding and renumbering of replacement cars.
In the modern era the number 350 has been used by the "Alamosa" when it was a coach on the Silverton.
