I don't think that 223 was ever part of the Sons of Utah Pioneer's museum in Salt Lake City. I have been through the SUP files regarding their now-defunct museum at Corinne, no where is 223 ever mentioned. It has always been my understanding that 223 was given to the City of Salt Lake in 1941, and was placed on display at Liberty Park on July 24, 1941, after being hauled through the city streets during the "Days of '47" Parade. Newspaper clippings from this era will confirm this. The narrow-gauge freight cars in question were donated to the SUP and were displayed in Sugar House. They weren't ever sold to the Lagoon Amuseument Park, but went there as display items along with the rest of the Pioneer Village collection in the mid-1970s (ownership was retained by SUP). Now, of course, they are in Ogden under different ownership.
