I lived in Fort Collins 1952 to 1964 and went to school there. We used to visit the GWR engine house in Loveland regularly, and I remember those engines 51 75 and 90 very well. They were in regular use at the time hauling sugar beets to the sugar mills along the GWRy. All three of those engines under GWR ownership were beautifully maintained, carefully cleaned and wiped down after each day's use, and in general kept running like fine watches. My favorite of the three to watch was the big decapod, No. 90. We got to ride behind her on an excursion or two out to Greely or somewhere. I am glad to see she is still working on the Stasburg RR in Pennsylvania. That is one beautiful piece of motive power.
