I was reading about the Montezuma Lumber company in its last years and how the D&RGW supplied the 271 and later the D&RGW 346 to the lumber company. The 346 ended up using the tender from the 271 and it is at the colorado Railroad Museum today.
Now that the boiler and drive wheels are back from a major overhaul in Pennsylvania, what is going to happen with "Her" tender? for the last several years of operation the 346 has been using the tender from the 318; another engine at the museum. And another candidate for major work!
