I came across this:
Bob Shriver
Bob Shriver was the first announcer on Denver television when KFEL-TV, Channel 2 went on the air in 1952. Over a 40 year span, Shriver spent 20 years on the air and 20 years in sales.
Following service in the navy, he enrolled in the broadcast and radio curriculum at the University of Denver. In 1948, he began announcing part time at KFEL Radio, the Mutual network affiliate. Following his graduation from DU, Bob became a full-time announcer at the station. Soon, in addition to booth announcer-voice over" duties, he was one of the first Denver on-air personalities to faces on camera. Many shows in that period were locally produced and Bob participated in the exciting new phase of Colorado broadcasting.
In 1955 ;he joined KOA Radio and Television, whose studios were in the NBC building in downtown Denver. He worked on several live shows on both Channel 4 and KOA Radio,m including the famous remote broadcasts of name dance band from the Trocadero Balroom at Elitch's.
In 1969, Bob joined the sales staff of KLZ-TV, Channel 7. He rounded out his 4 decades in the business by serving as regional sales representative for Pikes Peak Broadcasting stations in Colorado Springs and Grand Junction.
Most recently, he enjoyed his hobby in railroading by working on the Georgetown Loop in the mountains, lending his broadcast voice to describing the train ride to passengers on he train.
