Like A Brother

I first met Mike in 1978 and he and I hit it off right away. We both enjoyed the same kind of music and anything to do with railroads. We tracked many “ghost” railroads together in Southwest Colorado and his favorite was the RGS Perins Peak branch. He was always willing to lend a hand with projects and helped me start several layouts, as well as work on a 71/2” gauge railroad at my parent’s campground in Durango. He was an excellent modeler, woodworker and carpenter. He could design and make anything work that he put his mind to. Above and beyond, he was a great friend and treated me like a brother. He was always there for me. Taunting Coker just won’t be the same without him!!
