Don't think there are many prospects for ex-military buildings. Lowry Air Force Base (where I was stationed for 8 years) was taken over the cities of Denver and Aurora and turned into high price housing areas. The remaining hangers are now a museum. Ent Air Force Base is home of the US Olympic Team and never had any hangers to beging with. Buckley is now a full time US Air Force base and they are building new facilities, so nothing there I am sure. Petersen Air Base has expanded and the Air Force has even built new bases out east of Petersen.
Some old wooden barracks from Lowry were sold to local farmers as housing for migrant farm workers, but the remaining buildings were all brick structures and are being used by community colleges and other municipal organizations.
