Stay tuned sportsfans, this is turning into a real mess.
Note that 487 managed to got off the hill with a train after midnight 1/26.
488-480W take 487's train on west within a couple of hours.
489-481 flanger turn departs and is never seen again. It's stuck up there - somewhere.
490-487 flanger turn heads to the rescue - it's never heard from again either.
488 is turned in Durango and shot back across from Durango to shove the OM. OM's crew is all west end guys (except Joe Dalla) some have never been on the rotary before.
OM disappears into the storm and is likewise never seen again. In reality its on the ground and buried at Coxo.
1/29 Durango sends its last two wngines (497 and 480) back to help. After clearing the yard, they load cats on flat cars and head up the hill toward OM. Once into the snow, the cats are unloaded and spend the day plowing. They return at dark.
So, as of 1/29 we have 2 - 2 engineflanger trains and a rotary with 3 engines stuck up there - 7 engines and the OM stuck, living on melted snow and running out of coal. 2 engines are in Chama. That's 1/2 the fleet of big power. OY should be heading west pretty quick, being shoved by 3 more engines.
Such Fun.
