From what I have been reading on this board from the likes of John Bush and Earl and some of the D&S crews... The Fireboxes on the 90's should be changed to flexible staybolts.
The 492 was alledged to have gotten a new Firebox in the late 50's and did not suffer from the famed broken staybolt problem the 497 suffers from.
I find it unlikely we will see another 490 hit the rail anytime soon. If any the 492 in Chama has the best chance. The D&S just don't like em.
