Werner , the original signs had sturdy 8x8 post, about 8 feet tall painted boxcar red. From the top of the post, the sign extended up at a 45-degree angle-like a semaphore. It was painted white and had "FLANGER" in big black letters. Another sign variation was a 6x6 post wityh a 454-degree sign painted withg stripes ,yellow and black . One of thes still exist at Apache Creek , near Cumbres . The final variation ,introduced in the 1940s , was a 6* black triangle on a boiler-tube post ' standiabout 6 or 7 feet .Sorry I know drawing with dimensions exist , but I sd not remember wher , maybe an old Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette.
