Hi Charlie-
Glad you liked the site and thanks for the updates. I've added all these little notes to the history section; and will add more as I hear it. I've been fascinated with 'Kahuku' as long as I can remember; and after numerous visits to Roaring Camp seeing the progress and finally seeing her in steam again after all that hard work was truly a sight.
I've heard many stories of the great Charlie Ward and Neil Vodden. I don't know that much about either of them, but I do know that Neil V. also grew up in Los Gatos (albeit much earlier) and also owned the Overfair #1500 for a time. He'd also helped Billy Jones built the Wildcat RR back in the 40s when he was doing manual labor on the prune ranch, and also was one of those inverviewed in the Los Gatos Museum Associaction's video series on the BJWRR. I've heard much of his work at Roaring Camp, the Georgetown Loop, and in the 90s with SP 2472.
