Hopefully Jerry Day will see this

As to locomotives larger than a K-28, I seem to recall that there was a rotary run in the spring of 1941(?) where OY was taken down as far as Taos Junction or Barranca and was pushed by K-36's. I think I remember that they were coming off Cumbres and detoured onto the Santa Fe branch to plow out the cuts, etc. of drifting snow. Hopefully Jerry Day will see this and can confirm what I am saying (or not) and fill in the details. I have heard a rumor that film exists somewhere of the run, but I am skeptical and ahve never seen it. It is also my recollection that the K-36's (and maybe K-37's too)were rated to go as far as Barranca in the employee timetables
As to K-27's on the line, I have been told that they were there, but haven't seen a picture I trust. I recall seeing a picture of 452 on the line (I think it was the Robb K-27 book), but there was nothing in the picture that would confirm it was taken on the Santa Fe Branch. Again, Jerry could probably help with this.
