From the Reno Evening Gazette of March 24, 1915:
"The new schedule, effective April 1, will provide for the arrival of a daily express train from the north at 4:30 o'clock in the afternoon. New Pullman rates of 50 cents instead of $1.25 from Lakeview, and 25 cents instead of 50 cents from points less than 140 miles distant, also have been authroized. Additional equipment is being provided for the summer travel and 150 cars of gravel a day are being hauled for track ballasting in order that the trains may maintain a schedule two hours and 10 minutes faster than that now in effect."
"While the details of the new time tables have not been entirely worked out, it is planned to have the Lakeview train to Reno leave Lakeview at 5:30 o'clock in the morning and reach Reno at 4:30 o'clock in the afternoon, instead of leaving at 6:40 o'clock and reaching Reno at 8:10 o'clock. The train from Reno northward is to leave at 8:40 o'clock, as at present and reach Lakeview at 7:45 o'clock, instead of 10 o'clock, as at present. The trains will connect with the Western Pacific both ways."
This article also reported the change in the name of one of the sleepers as noted in my earlier post.
