Ahem, That's "Hunter Green"........

And pretty darn close to the original. Actually, we think the original was Chrome Green; which was simply Hunter Green with a little powdered aluminum added. Lacking aluminum, we decided to go with a slightly more somber (and cheaper) color. The black radiator is, admittedly, not original, nor is the "haze gray" cab interior The whole thing was green inside and out originally.
The couplers have been a bit of an issue. As delivered to the Sumpter Valley, #100 carried a complex, air-operated sliding coupler for dual-gauge operation. This mechanism ended up on #101, the whitcomb came to us with ordinary link/pin pockets bolted to the frame. These were unsalvageable due to breakage. We've decided to fabricate an industrial-type buffer block with a pinned-in knuckle, similar to the one on the #3 Heisler. I'm hoping to find a couple of old standard-gauge Type "A" knuckles (close to 3/4 size).
