Re: 280 has arrived at the Loop

Current plans for D&RGW 280 are for it to be on the Georgetown Loop's regular trains (weekdays only) for the first two weeks of the season. People will be able to ride in the coach, tickets will cost $2.00 or so above the Loop's regular ticket price. (The extra $2.00 will go towards the restoration of C&S/RGS locomotive #74, also on display in Boulder) The coach will be stored at the Loop until October, when it will return to Boulder. We may also run some special trains with 280 over the summer.
It still amazes me that we were able to take a prk decoration, restore it and get it back on live rail, even if only for a few months. The folks at the Georgetown Loop deserve a round of applause for making this possible.
