When we re-bricked the no. 19 during the rebuild in 1990's, the existing bricks were non existant and using patterns from my research I created a design for us to follow. The design we used worked very well over the years since the rebuild. The biggest damage was from people crawling in and out of the firebox. Something about big rear ends and bricks don't mix.
I am wondering if anyone has a "standard design" for putting the bricks in the fire box on an oil burner. I realize that as fireboxes are rebuilt from time to time that the specific layout will change, but are there any general guidelines that one could/should follow?
Thanks
Jeff
