Snow Train

October 23, 2004 08:35PM
The C&TS does not operate a Snow Train. If the railroad can get more operational locos and some heated cars, maybe it might have a short Snow Train season in the future.
If you want to ride a train in the snow behind steam the D&S is the only narrow gauge operation that has a regular schedule in the Winter. Also the standard gauge Nevada Northern in Ely, Nevada has several special "Snow Train" runs in December and February. Usually that part of Nevada has a blanket of snow on the ground.
