The way I understand is that they were projecting 32,000 for the season assuming that there would be three engines for a good portion of the season. Even with 30,000 I believe the total revenue was a little higher than expected. With 488 on line for next year maybe the schedule will be expanded a little and also run some doubleheaders on weekends.
Just hope that the legislatures of the two states each come through with some money. I think a few shop folks will be laid off at iether end for the winter. I wonder if there is enough money available to get the rehabilitation of #489 started.
