Camera? Take pictures of a diesel? Heaven forbid, I doubted it when I was told there was a diesel in town on our railroad, so I drove off from work with no camera not expecting to see an unusual train movement. Oh well, when you live around these things day in and day out, one narrow gauge train is like any other.
Of course, I felt the same way about the 3000, so took maybe 5 pictures of that thing while I was hanging around the Durango yard one summer in the 50s. There was much more of interest with daily freights arriving and departing for Alamosa and Farmington. Maybe I should know better by now.
