I too was able to attend the Loop's farewell today. The show was fantastic. Each engine carried 2 whistles and they echoed through the valley. The efforts of the last 30 years were very much evident. The weather turned dreary as the last trains ran. It looked liked one more train was to run for the friends and families of the railroad tonight.
It was sad to see such a grand show close. But how many times has anyone making a decision for political decisions admit they were mistaken?
Thanks for everything - You have set a standard that will take others years to match.
