Re: #40 schedule question

I was there most of the day, today. Met Jay again (he and I had met many years ago at Coxo), and Al Patterson (had several nice chats). I did get some nice shots, and need to get them uploaded after some cleanup.
The day started great with lots of sunshine and a few white clouds, but ended with rainshowers, cold and dreary. I did ride the 10:45 Extra out of Silver Plume, which was handled very nicely by #40.
The crews and equipment did very well, as usual. Most of the crew was wearing shirts with the tombstone image. Who can blame them?
Thanks to all those folks who crewed the trains today and made it happen in a very professional manner. Most folks I talked with on the train and elsewhere today had no clue what was going on.
