Re: D&S Fallen Flags & high mileage

Not a flag in sight on D&S! (No complaints!!!) Also notice that the 482 is also missing its "American Heritage" tender logo. (Again, no complaints!)
My Dad is now in the area and in the last week has seen the 480, 481, 482, 486, and *BONUS*, the 478 in operation. On several days the 9am runs were two sections. I guess the Aspen color change does wonders for business. Of course mid/late September also brings snow which was the case in Silverton on Tuesday.
FYI: Mileage from Denver to Santa Fe to Durango to Chama to Alamosa to Walsenburg to Denver is approximately 2,042....or at least that's what National Car Rental says!
