I understand that the following players are involved:
CRRM = Gracious enough to provide space to store equipment. GLR equipment may provide for steam up operations at the museum.
COLORADO RAILROAD HISTORICAL FOUNDATION, INC. = Group formed for the intent of providing support to Colorado railroad interests. Currently providing support to see if there is any last chance hope for keeping GLR and CHS as cooperative partners.
The Georgetown Loop Railroad, Inc. = The group that built (a good share), maintains, operates, and loves the 4-plus miles of railroad between Silver Plume and Georgetown for the past 30 years. This group also owns the "operational" equipment on the Loop.
CHS = can not say anything for fear of getting tagged for "soap opera" or having to swat off the devil's advocates that don't understand or appreciate the current situation. I sure wish CHS could "help" out the other railroaders that heckle from the sidelines.
Nobody, including CHS, can give you any details on the future of this unsightly mess. CHS has high hopes, a lot of money to waste, and a lot of back-pedaling before details for the future will be clear.
