Ours here in America, the Riva, was originally built to run on the Mori-Arco-Riva tramway that was out of Riva Italy. The U.P. converted it to burn diesel fuel or some kind of oil I guess....I just say it burns oil. I wish it burned coal but we can't because we're basically in the middle of Omaha. People wouldn't put up with the smoke.
Boiler pressure is set at 175 lbs. The firebox is in GREAT shape according to the shop. It was over-hauled for 4 years recently. New driving boxes, smoke box was patched in a couple places, new exhaust nozzle I think, and all the other usual stuff was done.
I have to go to school. More later.
