sharpest curve is 30 degree with a 4.1 percent grade at the top end of it. We call this " high fill curve". On the down hill run its the first place riders can see the high bridge.
Below this curve is what we call the cut before the mine stop. This would have to dug out and re-designed to allow for standard gauge equipment. But standard gauge equipment never ran on the loop so now you get into the issue of the historical correctness.
Both diesels are started up to charge the batteries and keep equal amount of running hours on the engines.
