An afterthought---
Years ago I was pleased to see C&S 2-8-0 #71 operating at central city.
I remember later thinking: Why can't they get this engine over to the Georgetown loop, where it would belong?
Perhaps that idea had got itself fastened to someone else's mind, as well,
.....and, perhaps, that is what may have prompted this current state of affairs.
Probably not.
But I do remember pretty clearly, being struck by that notion.
