I also wanted to mention that in 2001 we have a goal to get 0579 "back on it's trucks" to celebrate it's 50 years since retirement in 1951. We intend to build a set of 10ton caboose trucks, complete with leaf springs.
Also in 2001, I'd like to start work on the roof replacement. If anyone is interested in leading this work, please contact me.

The NGDF was started by Don Richter and is currently operated in his memory by Nathan Holmes and others.
