I’ll try out the “locals only” short cut to get to Durango on Friday to chase Goose 5 this weekend. Rumour in Crested Butte is they will be checking IDs to keep traffic down.

I’ll have to see how it works out to catch the opening for my return on Sunday night or it’s wolf creek, SLV, and then west in to Gunnison might be the way for this Crusty Buttian…

Kebler will take a few more weeks, it got over a foot of fresh snow last week alone. Machines can only do so much on the soft road. It needs to be dried first, then worked on. Plus, literally all the county crews are working on CR-26.

Anyone else catching the goose this weekend?
