Highway 50 Closure at Blue Mesa… Indefinitely

For those of you wanting to do the narrow gauge circle tour this upcoming summer season, keep in mind that it appears the route between Montrose and Gunnison over Blue Mesa Reservoir may be close med indefinitely. Right now the only viable detours are through Glenwood Canyon on 70 or over Wolf Creek Pass on 160. While there’s a road that takes you around from Lake City, it’s dirt and not currently open as of today (19 April)
