I just received my copy today of the new CRRM publication "Railroads around Table Mountain" the information in the book is great and has a lot of great rarely or never seen before photos and I give props to Dan Abbot for another fantastic publication.
However, the publication is pretty heavy with colorized photos, and they are not good. I was pretty disappointed with it, a lot of them do no favors to the book, and it makes it distracting at times trying to even read the text when there's a half page photo of Golden where the buildings are green and Table Mountain is blue for some reason, yikes. I don't mean this as an insult to Dan, because again the book presents a lot of new and great information, it just seems like they could've probably just included the original B&W photos, charged cheaper and saved money on publishing AND given a better product in return.
Just my 2 cents
