Yesterday, at the Colorado Railroad Museum, Jeff Taylor had three of us remove the remaining siding from Colorado Midland 111. The siding was between the windows. After removing the siding there was a vertical, thin wood strip on each site of the cavity. It was held in place by cut finishing nails. Each nail was 1 inch long. The head was 3/32" x 1/16".
