NNG: Antique Cut Finishing Nails from Colorado Midland 111

Yesterday, at the Colorado Railroad Museum, Jeff Taylor had three of us remove the remaining siding from Colorado Midland 111. The siding was between the windows. After removing the siding there was a vertical, thin wood strip on each site of the cavity. It was held in place by cut finishing nails. Each nail was 1 inch long. The head was 3/32" x 1/16". See the picture below:
