West Side Restoration

I am curious as to what is going on over in Tuolumne with the West Side Restoration. This year, they did in fact acquire a 2-truck Shay from the hill above a Boulder City, NV casino along with some old trucks (N-C-O I think) and a Porter 0-4-0T. This is in November I think. They have for the past few years had a Rogers critter over there, but I saw a recent picture showing a busted out window on it. They are trying to get the mill site preserved as a museum, but what about getting it operating again and the Me-Wuk tribe which owns the land and wants to build a casino there? I've heard they liked the idea of a railroad. A few years ago there was also talk of an 0-6-2 being loaned, no idea what this was, but it was maybe 3-4 years ago.
As I may have said before, Mark Greksa was quoted in a newspaper article from July about "pursuing another operation in Colorado or California". I was curious what this California idea was, but considering they own three WSL shays I figured they might be interested in getting involved with that. What would be really something is if they could get funding to rebuild the Bourland Trestle like they did with the then-decent CHS and the Devil's Gate...hah! I haven't been out to Tuolumne Country since maybe 1995 or 96. The Sierra wasn't too busy on a June Saturday, 2 cars behind the Feather River Shay #2 (one open, one closed) which were barely filled if I can remember, it was awhile ago and before the CSRM took over Railtown. It's amazing to think of 55-60 years ago when there was 70+ miles of mainline and spurs, and the guys would have to camp overnight at the logging camps out in the woods as the slow Shays wound through the forests. Really amazing piece of history.
On another note, anybody know if there are plans to get the #15 running again out at Fish Camp?
