Something has happened to the running gear of the 493 on the Durango turntable, August 1958. The 493 now resides about 6 blocks away from where I live--sad to see her in such a neglected condition as presently owned by the D&S. Ah hah--in 2020 the 493 is once again under steam after a complete rebuild by the Durango roundhouse crew. Now an oil burner, but she's alive once again after 50 years of slumber."
