Speeder View

This photo was looking out the front window of our #M32 speeder at SVRR, taken in the early 2000's. I believe it was taken by the late Laura Hayse. She and Jim Grigsby were likely doing fire patrol or track inspection. The location appears to be just below S Wye. Poor old M32 was an MT19 Fairmont that was originally from the UP and cut down to narrow gauge. It had been in a crossing accident at Hwy 7 which added quite a few battle scars. After we got a former CN A4 which was cut down to narrow gauge, M32 was beautifully rebuilt by the late Patrick "Smitty" Smith. He arranged a deal for sale to the Durango & Silverton.
