Yesterday, I traveled over to the Sumpter Valley to get some current photos of our archive and library building. In the last month there has been a lot of progress. We have painting, and rubber base competed along with HVAC finished. The next step is for the electrical contractor to complete the wiring for the HVAC, install light fixtures and all other trim out. There are a few small punch list items but there is every reason to think it will be ready to occupy in the spring. I am pleased to say that unless there is some unexpected final expense, we are funded to completion of the building. However, we will still be fundraising to furnish the building and this will probably require another $15,000. At present there is about 20" of snow at the rail yard. The project has been able to move forward thanks to SVRR member Eric Wunz's efforts at plowing the essential driveways.
