The photo is of EBT #29, a baggage express car, ex - Ausable and North Western. In 1956 it was purchased for a proposed logging museum in Michigan. It was given a fresh paint job by the EBT and lettered Northwoods, for the Northwoods Lumber Company, the name of the proposed museum. Combine #18 was acquired at the same time. Ely Thomas Shay #5 and Climax #7 were also acquired and moved to Michigan along with a log loader and a half dozen log cars. The museum was never able to obtain sufficient funding so all equipment was auctioned off in the 1960's. The two EBT cars were purchased by the Sundown and Southern but were not moved to Colorado for around 10 years. Forty years of outdoor storage in Colorado was not kind to them.
Shay #5 went to Green Bay where it sat outdoors for many years with all wood parts rotting away. It is currently indoors but in unrestored condition. Climax #7 is on display at the Cradle of forestry Museum in North Carolina, along with the log loader and a few log cars.
