Yes, though this was a little different. As I said, Steve and I started at the same time. He got behind on his sign offs because oops he lost his paper work once and he was doing so many other things like track, radios and signals IIRC that I moved up the ladder a little faster. In that time frame he worked as a light rail operator on the MAX in Portland, so had a general knowledge of railroad stuff.
