Something happened to my intended response--The Center for Southwest Studies at Ft. Lewis College in Durango has a nice selection of material on the Nomad accessible on their web site. I was involved with the car briefly in 1957 when Wood and White made their first run in August after they pulled it out of the motel where it had been for a while, out of service. A great car, and I have some photos of the first run and other shots at about the time Beebe and Clegg where there. White put together the fabricated story about the Nomad being WH Jackson's Nomad, and he sent it out to the Durango Herald and Denver Post where it was printed as the gospel truth.
