Go East on Hwy 26 about 100 miles, after Prarie Citycity who was the western end of the SV, go north on Hwy 7 through Bates Austin and Whitney. There are some signs along the way about the SV. If you look carefully you may even see old roadbed and, I believe somewhere out there a couple of old freight car remnants if they are still there. In Sumpter you are about five miles from McEwen, the present home of the SV.
