180psi, 6 drivers, 3%+ grade in a 28° curve, yeah she's gonna slip. Add in student engineers, and a flang oiler that is working a little to well, your in for a good show.
That first start in the video she centered up and the engineer had to roll back to get the drivers in a better position to start. As square as the timing is it still happens.
Also John I wouldn't say it has nothing to do with trains, loosely related to trains sure. We do burn fossil fuel after all, and I'm sure the railroads hauled fossils and found some while building ROWs.
