Yes, I wondered about TA and TP

I looked at a map of northern New Mexico and developed this translation of TA and TP:

South out of Chama on highway US 84 to Tierra Amarilla.

at highway junction turn left and continue on US 84 (now traveling easterly) to Tres Piedras (Junction with US 285)

turn left (north) onto US 285 continue north to Antonito.

this route about doubles the miles and adds about 40 minutes to the trip.
