10 was stripped all the way down to the metal for this paint to properly adhere to it. The Pickering logo was originally applied at Lima when the locomotive was built as Pickering owned West Side at that time. After the depression, when West Side was its own company again, it was painted over. Martin Hansen has photos with dates and could explain it better. We do plan on putting the logo back on the oil tank, but if that doesn't get done this week then it will have to wait until the fall when the 10 isn't running every day.
