Well, I was just going to start a thread on trackwork, and lo and behold, John W. goes ahead and beats me to it. I would hope that when these guys get some practice, they will do better than that. I had a crew -- six guys -- who regularly got 135 to 150 ties a day with a Section Gang machine. Right now, I have two guys who don't even break a sweat putting in 100 a day with a backhoe. I always wanted to try using two SG machines: one to pull out the dead soldiers and the second one to shove in the new ties. Tell us, John, how are the EBT hoppers coming? Will they be ready to dump stone soon? How's the tamper doing?
