Tankcar #61 was left behind when the friends of the C&TS took the other eight “complete” UTLX tankcars south. They wanted the ninth car but they just didn’t have the money at the time to purchase all of them, so #61 (UTLX 11016) was left behind.
In 1993 the White Pass approached us (SVRy) to try and purchase back the McArthur tenders that we received along with the 80 & 81. In the end, they gave us the two flat cars, hoppers #672 and #680 and the tank car and we sent them the two tenders, which I believe are in Carcross today.
The rotary came to the SVRy many years before all of this at the same time we got the 80 & 81 in 1977. The other car you mention must be the old WP&Y flat car (cut down C&S Boxcar) that is now on display with the rotary in Breckenridge as a rebuilt boxcar. As far as I know, the SVRy had nothing to do with that flat car but I can not confirm that. Maybe our SVRy carman can comment on that. I know he reads the NGDF.
