I'll second that motion, John -
That long first day – 9:10 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. – probably included plowing the siding at Sublette and maybe the siding at Toltec. The 3:35 A.M. arrival at Cumbres on the second day is probably a typo (should be P.M.), as it's more than an hour prior to the time reported for the train's departure from Sublette . . .
