IIRC, my math teacher through all four years of high school, Miss Kiyo Fukasawa, if alive today would undoubtedly interpret the function as enumerating the membership of the Fraternal Union of Curmudgeonly Geezers (Old FUCGers) as eventually approaching zero due to the decline in Fraud-O-Graphic™ activities and increase in Curmudgeonliness as the few remaining examples of our endangered species succumb to the effects of GRAMPS Triple Chocolate Stout (with capsaicin) and / or K. B. Hall's Old Number 500 Industrial Strength Red Table Wine taking their toll.  The decline is exacerbated by the refusal of some potential members, such as Roger Wigwam's notoriously cranky fellow drönemeister, to accept an invitation to join on account of his being unwilling to become a member of any organization that would accept someone like him into its ranks.
